The Northern New England Soccer League is working to create a set of guidelines in alignment with the states of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts ahead of the Fall 2020 season.  League policies will be updated as additional information and resources become available.

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT STATE RESTRICTIONS FOR SOCCER?
Each state has a different set of guidance for youth sports.  Below is a brief description of where each state stands as of July 20th, 2020.  Please reference the state youth/amateur sports guidance documents for full details.

Maine:  Phase 3;  Soccer is listed in the "higher risk" category.  Non-contact (individual drills only/physically distanced), maximum group size of 45 players/5 coaches maintain a 9:1 ratio).  Last updated 7/16/20

Massachusetts:  Phase 3, Step 1; Soccer is listed in the "moderate risk" category. Team based training, scrimmages are allowed while taking measures to mitigate exposure; Organizers must try to eliminate deliberate contact, participants are required to wear masks.  Maximum group size of 25 people in one area. New Hampshire:  Safer at Home; Team/group based training, scrimmages, games, and jamborees are permitted; Only teams from within New England may participate; Face coverings are mandatory at gatherings of 100+ people.  Last updated 8/24/20
